Account Manager

A leading U.S.-based manufacturer and supplier in the building materials industry is hiring a remote Account Manager to support the West Region. This is a unique opportunity to grow a territory, build lasting customer relationships, and collaborate across teamsβ€”all while contributing to a sustainable and innovation-driven business.

Role:
πŸ“ˆ Grow market share by developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts in the hardwood lumber space
🧰 Create tailored sales strategies to promote a broad mix of wood products
πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘ Collaborate directly with customers to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions
🏒 Coordinate with internal teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing) to ensure a seamless customer experience
πŸš— Travel up to 30% across assigned territory to build relationships and conduct in-person presentations
🌱 Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and the company’s values across all customer interactions

Requirements:
πŸŽ“ Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience in hardwood sales
πŸͺ΅ 4–5 years of external sales experience, ideally in hardwood lumber or building materials
πŸ›« Willingness and ability to travel regularly within territory
🚘 Valid U.S. Driver’s License
πŸ’Ό Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
🧠 Business acumen and a data-driven mindset for analyzing sales performance
πŸ’¬ Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including presenting to senior leaders
πŸ“Š Experience using sales metrics to inform marketing decisions is a plus
🧩 Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments

Benefits (including salary range):
