
Account Manager
A leading U.S.-based manufacturer and supplier in the building materials industry is hiring a remote Account Manager to support the West Region. This is a unique opportunity to grow a territory, build lasting customer relationships, and collaborate across teamsβall while contributing to a sustainable and innovation-driven business.
Role:
π Grow market share by developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts in the hardwood lumber space
π§° Create tailored sales strategies to promote a broad mix of wood products
π§βπ€βπ§ Collaborate directly with customers to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions
π’ Coordinate with internal teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing) to ensure a seamless customer experience
π Travel up to 30% across assigned territory to build relationships and conduct in-person presentations
π± Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and the companyβs values across all customer interactions
Requirements:
π Bachelorβs in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience in hardwood sales
πͺ΅ 4β5 years of external sales experience, ideally in hardwood lumber or building materials
π« Willingness and ability to travel regularly within territory
π Valid U.S. Driverβs License
πΌ Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
π§ Business acumen and a data-driven mindset for analyzing sales performance
π¬ Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including presenting to senior leaders
π Experience using sales metrics to inform marketing decisions is a plus
π§© Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
