Staff Data Scientist
A leading research technology company in New York City is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their growing Data Solutions team. In this role, youโll lead high-impact projects, build scalable machine learning models, and partner cross-functionally to drive innovation in media measurement analytics.
Youโll work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where your expertise in statistics, experimentation, and large-scale data processing will directly influence product and strategy.
Role:
As a Staff Data Scientist, you will:
๐ฌ Design and implement advanced ML models and statistical solutions to evaluate digital and traditional media performance
๐ค Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions
๐ Drive discovery and research initiatives that shape the future of measurement tools
๐ Translate business needs into data-driven experiments and visual reports
๐ง Mentor junior data scientists and foster a culture of technical excellence
๐ Stay on top of the latest in data science, media analytics, and experimentation design
Requirements:
๐ Masterโs or Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
๐ 7+ years of data science experience, with 2+ years in media measurement or marketing analytics
๐ Advanced Python skills for model development (including TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn)
๐งฎ Strong foundation in statistical modeling, experimental design, causal inference, and simulation
๐พ Expertise with SQL and big data frameworks like Spark, Databricks, or Hadoop
๐ Proven track record of leading projects and mentoring teams
๐ก Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse stakeholders
