Growth Intern

As a part-time Growth Intern at a Y Combinator-backed fintech, you’ll help more students discover Winford by sharing content, driving signups, and launching creative campaigns that meet people where they already are, online and on-campus.

You’ll get a toolkit of scripts, links, and ideas. But even more importantly, we want your creativity and personal touch.

We don’t do things like other startups / companies - we’re going to make this fun and competitive (in a good way) - you’ll be part of a network of fellow interns across the country, working together and competing with each other to deliver the most impact through weekly projects.
 

Please include your Instagram / Tik Tok handle if available / applicable when applying (having a large # of followers is not a requirement, but you need to be comfortable making content of yourself).


Your Role:

  • Make your voice heard: we value the opinion of everyone we work with, and we value having a two-way conversation as we achieve goals together
  • Post and share content with viral potential on TikTok, IG, Linkedin, group chats, and campus channels
  • Drive signups using your referral code to earn incentives
  • Test marketing ideas and help us learn what converts (memes? interviews? tutorials?)
  • Join monthly competitions with your network of fellow growth leads (most signups, best content, most creative video)
  • Give product feedback and represent the voice of your campus. Working with the founding team to help ideate new features and services based on the insights you collect.

You won’t have to cold DM or explain complex finance (in fact, you won't be allowed to give financial advice) — our app does the heavy lifting. Your job is to spark interest, curiosity, and good vibes.

Interns will receive a base monthly stipend + highly lucrative incentives.
 

Interns will be supervised by a member of our founding team, who they will meet with on a regular basis to track their progress (founding team has backgrounds as investment professionals at firms like Blackstone and software engineers at companies like Microsoft). There will also be weekly meetings with the full class of interns (some optional and some mandatory) focusing on educational topics related to the internship / entrepreneurship such as: “How to raise money from VCs or how to create content scripts optimized for virality”.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at a U.S. college or university (a Sophomore-Senior in Fall 2025)
  • Active presence on campus or in digital communities (group chats, orgs, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills — written, verbal, or content-based
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time and tasks independently
  • Excited to learn and talk about money, adulting, or startups
  • Willing to complete asynchronous onboarding, follow basic guidelines, and represent the brand responsibly
  • Willing to be a representative of our brand and carry out the Winford mission

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active on Tik Tok and / or Instagram, with an understanding of what comprises viral content on each
  • Experience with content creation, even casually
  • Comfort being bold and a willingness to "put yourself out there"
  • Member of student organizations, professional societies or clubs, Greek life
  • 1k+ followers on Tik Tok / Instagram (please share your handle if relevant in application question or resume!)

A bonus:

  • Understanding of finance related content on social media
