Administrative Specialist

Kind of Work:

Highly skilled role providing administrative support for County Administration and the Board of Commissioners. Duties include supporting continuous improvement projects and County communications; processing correspondence; coordinating appointments and administrative schedules; gathering information on issues and concerns for administrative action; preparing materials for County Board meetings; reviewing and editing drafts of County Board letters; and responding to requests regarding County services. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail):

High school diploma or its equivalent.

Four (4) years full-time paid verifiable administrative experience; OR equivalent education and/or experience as determined by the Director of Human Resources and Administration.

Demonstrated ability to operate personal computer-based systems.

Proficiency in operating word processing software.

Ability to type from clear copy at a rate of 40 w.p.m./net.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.
