Marvelous Party Characters is looking for outgoing, dependable, and enthusiastic performers to join our team! You’ll have the opportunity to bring beloved characters to life—princesses, superheroes, fairies, and more—while creating unforgettable experiences for kids and families at birthdays and special events.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform as a costumed character at parties and events
  • Entertain children through storytelling, games, singing, dancing, and/or simple face painting or balloon twisting (training provided)
  • Travel to events around the Bay Area (primarily weekends)
  • Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude

Requirements

  • Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Strong reliability and communication — we cannot accommodate frequent last-minute cancellations
  • For costume sizing:
  • Female performers: dress size 0–8
  • Male performers: height 5'8" to 6'2"
  • Weekend availability (Saturday or Sunday required; both preferred)
  • Must be 17 years or older
  • Previous experience in performance, theater, dance, or working with children is a plus
  • Minimum 6-month commitment is required

Training Policy

We provide structured, hands-on paid training that covers everything from character performance and party structure to costuming and voice work. Training is valued between $150–$250, depending on the role and responsibilities.

Because of the time and resources we invest in preparing our performers, we have a 90-day policy:

If a performer voluntarily leaves the company or stops accepting shifts within 90 days of completing training, they may be responsible for reimbursing part or all of the training cost.

This policy ensures we’re dedicating our time and energy to performers who are genuinely committed.

  • Have weekday availability for occasional events or school visits
  • Have performance, acting, or childcare experience
