Prospective PA, Nursing and MD pre-candidates ONLY! Candidates without a Bachelor's degree, need not apply.

Dr. Nathan will serve as a mentor and teach you all there is to know about the medical field. When the time comes to transition to your program, if you performed well, you can count on his letter of recommendation and a possible phone call to program directors.

The Nathan Clinic is currently seeking one full-time Medical Assistant (MA). Applicants must have a reliable source of transportation as they will be required to travel between multiple offices (Miramar and Design District).

This is a Plastic Surgeon's office - high volume and fast paced. The person coming on must have an "I CAN" attitude. We are a boutique style office. We work closely and respectfully with one another.

PUNCTUALITY is required. Clinic starts promptly at 8:30AM, we expect the MA to have everything ready to go by 8:30AM. This will require preparation the day before.

RELIABILITY is a must. We are a lean team. Everyone plays an important role. We expect MA to arrive on time and ready to work. Excessive absences and/or tardies will not be tolerated.

Candidates must show INITIATIVE and must be able to complete all tasks with little supervision. The MA will primarily assist surgeon with medical procedures, as well as assist with other duties in the office, therefore ability to PRIORITIZE is key. As a Medical Assistant your goal must be to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Some tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Dr. Nathan with minor in-office procedures
  • Patient consents management
  • Answering phones
  • Verifying insurance
  • Checking in/out patients
  • Scheduling Appointments
  • Sterilizing Equipment
  • Removal of surgical site drains
  • Suture removal
  • Sterilizing all exam room surfaces
  • Taking patient temperatures upon check-in
  • Scanning patient documents into the system
  • Submitting prescriptions
  • Inventory
  • Creating patient charts/ Preparing patient charts
  • Receiving and Inputing patient labs/ pathology
  • Organizing and stocking supplies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
