Certified Athletic Trainer
Greencastle Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is a physical therapist owned, private practice located in south central Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a full-time Athletic trainer to fulfill our ongoing outreach contract with Greencastle Area School District.
Qualifications
- MS/MEd degree preferred; current NATA - BOC Certification required
- Pennsylvania ATC License (Entry level graduates with NATA certification will be considered)
- Decision-making skills to make treatment assessments based on quick injury evaluation
- Effective interpersonal skills to communicate both in person and in writing
Responsibilities
- Improve functional outcomes for patients with focus on patient education to prevent injury and re-injury
- Provide athletic training services for all home athletic contests and practices
- Act as liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes and their parents
- Maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments
- Assist with the scheduling and execution of pre-participation sports physicals
- Communicate with coaches and athletic director regarding status of athlete medical eligibility as recommended by district and state rules and regulations
- Provide intermittent clinical support to Greencastle Physical Therapy as needed
