Overview The Bilingual Wish Intern is responsible for coordinating the wish experience within the policies and procedures established by Make-A-Wish America and the Make-A-Wish Idaho chapter. The Intern ensures the quality wish experience through proper communication, planning and oversight.
Opportunities/Project Duties
- In conjunction with the with team, help communicate with families who speak Spanish languages. This will involve translation of both verbal and writte communications.
- Maintain wish information in Salesforce Wish and Volunteer Center as planning/progression of wish occurs
- Maintain electronic files as wish planning/progression occurs
- Communicate with the Director of Mission Delivery on goal progress and program activities
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to wish children, wish families, volunteers, affiliates, vendors, donors, and co-workers
- Ensure all wish wrap-up activities are completed in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, thank you notes, anecdotal reports, and wish receipts
- Participate in the granting of wishes as needed
- Help identify and solve wish procedure issues to increase the quality of the wish experience for wish kids, families, volunteers, donors and staff
The successful Work U student will:
- Be bilingual in Spanish and English

- Embody a sense of maturity and professionalism to ensure meaningful interactions with internal and external audiences.
- Strong integrity with respect for confidential information
- Be able to follow the Make-A-Wish branding guide and guidelines, especially on social media
Skills you will develop
- Gain confidence in working with others in a professional setting
- Experience working with a National Brand
- Gain firsthand writing, graphic design, photography and/or videography experience and have a portfolio of published materials to use toward future employment.
- Learn to provide timely outreach to a variety of people, like wish families, donors, and vendors.
