Bilingual Japanese-English Associate (US IPO Consulting)

We are seeking a fluent Japanese-English bilingual analyst with ambition, adaptability, and a global mindset to support groundbreaking IPOs for high-growth Japanese companies entering the U.S. capital markets.

As part of a fast-moving team with offices in Tokyo and New York, you’ll work directly with CEOs, investment bankers, lawyers, and auditors across time zones. Your work will shape the future of Japan’s most promising startups and help them go global.

Key responsibilities:

Assist in end-to-end IPO project management

Translate and draft business documents (EN⇄JP), financial decks, and investor communications

Join client meetings, take notes, and manage follow-ups with Japanese and U.S. stakeholders

Conduct research on industries, competitors, and U.S. public company filings

Support vendor coordination with legal, audit, IR/PR, and capital markets teams

Build process checklists and manage virtual data rooms

Requirements:

Native or near-native fluency in both Japanese and English (reading/writing/speaking)

Strong writing and communication skills

Interest in finance, international business, or law

Ability to work across time zones with flexibility (especially U.S. and Japan)

Self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

Prior internship experience in finance, consulting, or legal

Familiarity with SEC filings or the IPO process

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, or Notion
