About the Role
As a math teacher at LSAS, you will design and lead engaging courses across a range of subjects—Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Trigonometry—based on curricular needs and your expertise. You’ll have the flexibility to shape your curriculum and create a hands-on, discussion-rich classroom where students are active participants in their learning journey.

What You’ll Do
• Design and deliver engaging, rigorous curriculum that reflects the diverse
contributions to mathematical knowledge.
• Create meaningful activities and assessments that promote inquiry, collaboration, and critical thinking.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain open communication with
students and families.
• Contribute to a positive school culture that values student voice, teacher autonomy, and academic excellence.

What We’re Looking For
• A bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, or a related field (advanced
degree preferred).
• Strong content knowledge and a passion for teaching math.
• Experience working with advanced middle and high school students.
• A commitment to fostering a student-centered, inclusive classroom.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Why LSAS?
• Small Class Sizes: With an average of 3–12 students per class and a 4:1 studentfaculty ratio, you’ll have the time and space to build meaningful relationships and tailor instruction.
• Teacher Autonomy: Our educators design their own curriculum and adapt it to
meet the needs and interests of their students.
• Engaged Learners: LSAS students are curious, motivated, and eager to explore complex ideas.
• Supportive Community: We believe that academic success begins with a sense of belonging. Our inclusive culture encourages students and teachers alike to take intellectual risks and grow together.
• Accredited Excellence: LSAS is accredited by MSA CESS and consistently ranks in the top percentiles for academic achievement.
