Job Title: Accessibility Analyst - Work Study (Part-Time)

Term: Fall 2025-Spring 2026

Student must have work-study award to apply.

Job Summary:  

Assist faculty in ensuring the accessibility of course materials. Responsibilities include transcribing electronic PDFs into accessible Word documents, formatting Microsoft Word and Powerpoint documents for accessibility, and editing multimedia captioning in Kaltura MediaSpace. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (% of time spent in each area): 

• 95% - Transcribing course content, editing multimedia content, updating documents and course materials to meet accessibility standards

• 5% - Other duties as assigned  

 

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:  

Current university student enrolled in a degree program with experience in general office practices with excellent communication skills and high attention to detail. Student must have work-study award. 

 

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

• Working knowledge of computers 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including use of the Accessibility Checker and use of Styles and Tables in Microsoft Word 

• Working knowledge of Kaltura MediaSpace 

• Working knowledge of Zoom video conferencing 

• Proficient typing skills 

• Effective communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Student will receive training on using accessibility checker and creating accessible documents

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

Majority of work will be done virtually, and on-time communication and timely delivery of tasks is crucial.

• Community Contributor – Student will work with faculty and staff to ensure other students are able to be successful in the course. 

 

Expected Pay: $11/hr

Hours: 10-20 hours per week
