UI/UX Summer Fellowship – Ghosh Innovation Lab
Location: Remote
Stipend: $1,000 (for both flows)

Duration: ~4–5 weeks, part-time flexible
Fellowship Goal
Create two click-through UX prototypes showcasing dual paradigms for safety incident reporting:

Formal Form-Based Reporting Paradigm
- A structured UX flow for legislators or public officials to report safety incidents and monitor case updates.
- Designed from scratch based on research and templates we provide.

Empathetic AI-Agent Reporting Paradigm
- A conversational, AI-supported UX flow for reporting incidents and receiving empathetic support.
- You'll adapt and enhance our existing UX flow to align with our tone and structure.
Deliverables
- Two Figma (or equivalent) click-through prototypes with clear user interactions
- UX flow diagrams (e.g., user task maps or journey maps) for both paradigms

Competitor & landscape analysis brief (3–4 pages) covering:
- 3–5 comparable tools or platforms (e.g., incident-reporting systems, AI-chat support systems)
- UX strengths, weaknesses, accessibility methods, and unique features
- Opportunities for differentiation in tone, language, and information architecture
What We’re Looking For
- Strong fluency with Figma (or equivalent) and crafting interactive user flows
- Ability to conduct high-level UX/market research and synthesize it into actionable insights
- Passion for designing inclusive, trauma-informed, and civic-focused user experiences
- Capable of working independently with a collaborative, feedback-driven mindset
- Ready to ship both deliverables part-time within ~4–5 weeks
