Location: Remote
Stipend: $1,000 (for both flows)
Apply by: July 11, 2025
Duration: ~4–5 weeks, part-time flexible

Fellowship Goal

Create two click-through UX prototypes showcasing dual paradigms for safety incident reporting:

  1. Formal Form-Based Reporting Paradigm
    • A structured UX flow for legislators or public officials to report safety incidents and monitor case updates.
    • Designed from scratch based on research and templates we provide.

  2. Empathetic AI-Agent Reporting Paradigm
    • A conversational, AI-supported UX flow for reporting incidents and receiving empathetic support.
    • You'll adapt and enhance our existing UX flow to align with our tone and structure.

Deliverables

  • Two Figma (or equivalent) click-through prototypes with clear user interactions
  • UX flow diagrams (e.g., user task maps or journey maps) for both paradigms
  • Competitor & landscape analysis brief (3–4 pages) covering:

    • 3–5 comparable tools or platforms (e.g., incident-reporting systems, AI-chat support systems)
    • UX strengths, weaknesses, accessibility methods, and unique features
    • Opportunities for differentiation in tone, language, and information architecture

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong fluency with Figma (or equivalent) and crafting interactive user flows
  • Ability to conduct high-level UX/market research and synthesize it into actionable insights
  • Passion for designing inclusive, trauma-informed, and civic-focused user experiences
  • Capable of working independently with a collaborative, feedback-driven mindset
  • Ready to ship both deliverables part-time within ~4–5 weeks
