Fraud Analyst

Two Dots is reimagining consumer underwriting using AI, beginning with residential real estate. Most people’s most important financial information is locked up in documents, and we’ve built technology that is able to harness this data to drive faster, more equitable lending decisions. We also protect against fraud and identity theft.

After raising our Series A, we are growing rapidly! And could use your expertise to help us become the new standard in consumer underwriting.

Please note that we require all full-time employees to work from our office in San Francisco, CA.

Role overview:

In this role, you’ll develop real-world analytical, product, and operational skills while gaining hands-on exposure to real tech, real problems, and a real business. You’ll have a front-row seat at a high-growth startup, working closely with the product and engineering teams to help build the next generation of fraud prevention tools.

If you're gritty, curious, and love solving puzzles—this role might be perfect for you. This role does not require and does not use coding or software development —just strong basic math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to piece together clues. It's a little bit like being a detective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use AI tools to analyze financial profiles of consumers (analyzing income and assets)
  • Detect edited or forged documentation
  • Prevent identity theft via picture ID analysis and analyzing identity databases
  • Identify shell companies and illegitimate job offers
  • Deeply understand the product and identify bugs or opportunities for automation
  • Optimize the Fraud Analyst workflow

Desirable Traits:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business/Finance, Philosophy, Statistics or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication

No coding or software development experience is required.

What you get in return:

  • The opportunity to advance quickly within TwoDots
  • A chance to help build a company from the ground up
  • An environment with a work culture that is based on teamwork, trust, ownership, flexibility, and a growth mindset
  • A competitive salary, comprehensive equity package, and substantial benefits

Closing:

Two Dots is an equal opportunity employer. We aim to build a workforce of individuals from different backgrounds, with different abilities, identities, and mindsets. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply!

Compensation is variable and is subject to a candidate’s personal qualifications and expectations. For this role, we offer the following base salary range, in addition to an equity package and full benefits: $85,000 - $105,000 per year.
