Internship Opportunity: Project Quotation Specialist 

Venture is offering an entry-level internship for the position of Project Quotation Specialist, ideal for recent graduates looking to launch their careers in Business, Program Management or related fields. We are willing to train the right candidate - all you need is a positive attitude, strong willingness to learn and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. 

As an intern, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience in product cost analysis, supplier communication, RFQ/RFI preparation, and cross-functional collaboration to support customer quotations and new product introduction (NPI) processes. 

This is a great opportunity to develop skills in sourcing strategy, project coordination and data analysis while working closely with experience professionals. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Work with internal business units and various support groups to understand cost drivers to develop product Quotes. 
  • Resourceful and able to communicate source from various supplier and be able to comprehend and articulate specific technical information. 
  • Coordinate cross-divisional quoting and sourcing teams to develop specifications, sourcing strategies and supplier negotiation strategies 
  • Coordinates and directs all phases of a program from material requirements , types of tooling requirement, assembly and test process, quality process and packaging to ensure costs are captured in quote.
  • Prepare and administer the flow of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quote (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) 
  • Costed BOM analysis and reporting of erroneous data or missing documentation 
  • Facilitate supplier negotiations and selection with Purchasing Department to align business with preferred suppliers   
  • Quoting Proposal Formulation and New Product Introduction (NPI) Gap Analysis 
  • Create maintenance plan to ensure alignment integrity of Supplier Line Cards in Quoting Tool Quarterly 
  • Supply Base Performance Tracking 
  • Identify and quantify Manufacturing Cost Management savings potential for specific categories, opportunities, and strategies 
  • Conduct market, benchmark and spend analysis for select categories of spend 
  • Develop category and supplier cost models 
  • AOB as directed by management

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good attitude, positive outlook, team player, willing to learn, works under pressure
  • Superior analytical capabilities with emphasis on data integrity   
  • Ability to collaborate with team members offering creative and effective problems solving solutions 
  • Good command in communication, negotiation, and presentation skills   
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications: Word, PowerPoint, and Access 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field required
