Job Description
We are seeking a self-motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our growth by identifying and qualifying potential clients and setting up impactful meetings. The BDR plays a vital role in transforming our marketing initiatives into engaging sales conversations, serving as an essential link between our dynamic marketing and sales teams. In this role, strong interpersonal skills and an upbeat, positive mindset reflect our “Yes, we can!” approach to surpass customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up and engage with inbound leads from marketing campaigns, webinars, and events
- Conduct outbound outreach to targeted accounts (email, LinkedIn, phone, etc.)
- Set qualified appointments for the sales team
- Collaborate with marketing to improve conversion rates from lead to meeting
- Participate in both in-person and online events to expand outreach efforts and networking opportunities
- Maintain CRM records and activity logs
- Provide insights on prospect objections and messaging performance
- Track and report on business development metrics and performance against targets
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a BDR or SDR role (B2B environment preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, or a related field
- Effectively work in a collaborative environment on a team or with other teams
- Comfortable working remotely and independently to conduct outbound communication
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Experience with various industries and departments, such as higher education, government, or procurement, is a plus
- Background check required
