Arkansas Access to Justice is seeking a full-time Website & IT Coordinator to manage and improve ARLawHelp.org, the state’s primary legal information and self-help platform. The site receives over 30,000 visits each month and serves as a vital resource for Arkansans navigating civil legal issues without an attorney.
(Note: While this position is managed and supervised by Arkansas Access to Justice, the successful candidate will be formally employed by Legal Aid of Arkansas, our grantee.)
This role is tech-focused, not legal. You’ll be responsible for maintaining website functionality, building interactive forms using document assembly software, and ensuring accessibility and usability across digital platforms. What You’ll Do
Website & IT Management
- Oversee daily operations and updates for ARLawHelp.org
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across multiple websites
- Support additional sites operated by Legal Aid of Arkansas and Arkansas Access to Justice
Content & Interactive Form Development
- Build user-friendly, fill-in-the-blank legal forms using tools like Gavel.io (training provided)
- Maintain content clarity, ADA accessibility, and up-to-date legal resources
- Collaborate with staff and partners to post new materials and ensure relevance
User Experience & Design
- Help improve site layout, navigation, and interface with an emphasis on accessibility
- Conduct basic usability testing and implement user feedback for continuous improvement
SEO, Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor traffic using Google Analytics or similar tools
- Use insights to improve performance, visibility, and user experience
- Implement SEO best practices to expand reach
Security & Compliance
- Apply standard website security practices to protect user data
- Ensure ongoing compliance with accessibility and privacy standards
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Experience managing websites, especially with WordPress or similar CMS
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
- Familiarity with web analytics and SEO principles
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Preferred Experience
- (Not required, but helpful and valued)
- Experience with Gavel.io, LibGuides, or other digital form/document platforms
- Prior work with nonprofit, government, or mission-driven organizations
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices and inclusive design
- Based in Arkansas or willing to relocate (preferred, but not required)
- Legal education or background (preferred, but not required)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 – $75,000, depending on qualifications and experience
