Laboratory Technician
This role supports day-to-day laboratory operations by maintaining instruments, preparing reagents, managing equipment inventory, and coordinating shipments. The position requires strong attention to detail, basic technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple lab functions. The technician will also be responsible for tracking equipment usage and ensuring timely servicing and calibration of lab instruments.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly maintenance and cleaning of lab instruments and equipment.
Monitor usage logs and schedule calibration for portable lab equipment.
Troubleshoot basic equipment issues through operational testing.
Prepare bulk reagents and ensure instrument reagent levels are maintained.
Manage lab inventory by ordering and stocking supplies and equipment.
Coordinate internal equipment repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
Handle preparation and scheduling of incoming/outgoing stained slide and reagent shipments.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the lab and stockroom areas.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED – Required
Some College Coursework – Preferred
