Vision: Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, the ability to adjust focus, and the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
College: Desirable- associate’s degree in Fire Science or Paramedical Technology
Necessary Certifications: IFSAC/Pro-Board Firefighter 1; NREMT EMT-B or state equivalent with ability to apply for State of Alaska reciprocity
Desired Certification/License: NREMT Paramedic, AEMT or AK-AEMT; IFSAC/Pro-Board Firefighter 2 with ability to apply for State of Alaska reciprocity
