Senior Contract Coordinator (JR-0001649)

Responsibilities
Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Senior Contract Coordinator who will work in the New York State Department of Health’s (NYSDOH) Office of Administration and Contract Management, which is a busy and fast paced office within the AIDS Institute. This office oversees the administrative and fiscal process for all contracts and payments that go through the NYSDOH and Health Research, Inc. This position will focus on the process of funding vouchers and working with the budget analysts to get various approvals and resolving issues; reviewing and contributing to approving vouchers in in the NYS Statewide Financial System (SFS); generating reports; encumbering and disencumbering funding on contracts in SFS; and working closely with contract managers and contractors on getting contracts, budgets and modifications developed and approved and vouchers submitted, reviewed, and paid on a small set of contracts. 


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field and two years of experience in contract coordination, contract administration or closely related experience; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.


Preferred Qualifications

At least two years of accounting, finance and/or fiscal management experience. At least one year of experience managing the administrative process of contracts and payments. Experience working on grant contracts for a state agency and/or non-profit. At least one year of experience using financial and grants management systems. At least two years of experience providing training and technical assistance.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required.

The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available.
