Are You a Problem Solver Who Loves to Build Things?
We're looking for a summer intern to join our engineering team and help develop and integrate OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) systems on our production lines used to produce some of the world's largest beverage alcohol brands. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with the engineering and production team to plan, solve, and implement solutions that keep our bottling and canning lines running efficiently.
What You'll Do Working Alongside the Engineering Team:
- Develop and implement OEE tracking systems using Ignition SCADA platform
- Configure edge computing devices (such as RIP 200) and work with industrial PLCs
- Write code in JavaScript, work with JSON data, and configure Node-RED flows
- Set up and program Raspberry Pi devices for production monitoring
- Work directly in terminal environments to troubleshoot and configure systems
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex production challenges
- Contribute to projects that directly impact the production of major beverage brands
Who We're Looking For:
We want someone who bridges the gap between engineering and computer science:
- Engineering student who codes for fun OR CS student who loves to tinker and build
- Someone who enjoys 3D modeling, Raspberry Pi projects, or similar hands-on hobbies
- Comfortable working in terminal/command line environments
- Problem-solver mentality - we tackle the toughest challenges and always find solutions
- 21+ years old preferred (but will consider younger candidates with exceptional skills)
- Available to work on-site at our Fort Worth production facility
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Experience with industrial controls or PLCs
- Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments
- Previous project experience with IoT or edge computing
Why This Role?
Have you ever wondered how the the tiny airplane size bottles are made? Well now you will be working on systems and processes that allows us to produce over 60,000,000 50ml bottles per year on just 1 line.
You'll work on real systems that keep production lines running for globally recognized brands. Our team is known for solving problems others can't, and you'll learn directly from people who excel at finding creative solutions. The skills you develop here - from industrial automation to edge computing - are highly valuable in today's manufacturing landscape.
When You Apply:
Skip the resume. Send us a cover letter explaining why you're the right fit for this role. Tell us about:
- A challenging problem you've solved (technical or otherwise)
- Projects you've built or tinkered with (can be personal hobby projects)
- Why working with industrial systems and production equipment excites you
- Favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink
We're hiring immediately and will move quickly for the right candidate (typically within 1-2 weeks).
