Circulation Financial Analyst

Summary:
This position is responsible for single copy scan based maintenance and reporting for assigned properties (Newspapers) owned by MediaNews Group and Tribune Publishing Co.

What you will do:

• Manage the Nexxus and iControl relationships including – submit new store requests, submit price changes and UPC requests and register new account numbers
• Prepare scan based rate audit, document all exceptions and submit for corrections
• Act as liaison with scanned based partners and circ operations teams regarding delivery inquiries, pricing, UPCs and new stores
• Compile sales reports
• Prepare monthly true up adjustments for scan based accounts and umbrella accounts
• Conduct monthly reconciliations and create return adjustments
• Generate monthly shrink reports

What you will bring:

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions (including process, policy and procedures manuals), correspondence and financial documents
• Write and organize correspondence (generally in e-mail)
• Demonstrated ability to create Excel spreadsheets using formulas as needed
• Practical problem solving skills and ability to deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Self-initiative
• Associate’s Degree preferred by not required
• 1-3 years of related experience required

Benefits and Compensation:

The salary range is $53,000 - $58,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
