HVAC/Utilities Engineer
Responsibilities:
The HVAC/Utilities engineer will play a hands-on role in troubleshooting, and upgrading HVAC and utility systems within a facility. This position is split between troubleshooting existing systems and supporting facility infrastructure upgrades and capital projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and resolving issues with HVAC control systems, alarms, and utilities.
- Hands-on troubleshooting of pneumatic actuators, steam systems, and HVAC alarms to ensure operational reliability.
- Responding to system failures and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Supporting HVAC control unit and steam system upgrades, ensuring proper installation and integration.
- Assisting with facility infrastructure improvements, including utilities and HVAC system upgrades.
- Collaborating with project teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Providing technical support for control system modifications and commissioning activities.
- Working directly in the field to troubleshoot and resolve control system issues (not just reviewing drawings).
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and facility safety regulations.
- Documenting troubleshooting processes, system upgrades, and modifications for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC utilities, control units, and steam system upgrades.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC alarms and automation components.
- Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system sequences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system optimization.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams, technicians, and facility staff.
