Job Description 

Internship: Summer-Winter Intern 2025 

 

Professional Women in Construction’s mission is to support, advance, & connect women & promote diversity within the architecture, engineering, construction & related industries.   

Professional Women in Construction New York (PWC NY) is looking for an enthusiastic intern to support our growing organization. Interns at PWC NY have the opportunity to engage with and learn from our members, who are all professionals in the AEC industry. We highly encourage students focused on construction, engineering, and/or architecture to apply. PWC NY will introduce Interns to industry stakeholders and support your career path.  

The NY Chapter of PWC hosts approximately 12 committee events, 4 panel discussions, and 3 fundraisers per year. These events range from 20 – 300+ people. The Intern will work with the PWC NY Admin Team (Member and Event Associate, Manager, and Executive Director) in support of the Board of Directors and the Committees.  

This role requires a deadline-driven, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working independently and integrating with a small team. Clear communication, design skills, and customer service savvy are essential. The Intern will report to the Member and Event Associate and coordinate venue arrangements, catering, and marketing for events. 

This role will start mid-July 2025 and end in mid-December 2025, with the potential to extend through June 2026; exact start and end dates are flexible. This position is paid an hourly rate of $20.

Design marketing materials 

Coordinate events 

Coordinate social media marketing 

Support administrative duties 

 

Requirements: 

Strong writing and communication skills 

Experience using Canva (or any other graphic design platform, i.e. InDesign, Adobe Illustrator)

Ability to work 20 hours on a Hybrid schedule, with a 50% in-person expectation 

In-person support at 75% of monthly events 

Eligible to work in the U.S. 

Currently in a graduate program
