Administrative Assistant

About this Opportunity:

As our Administrative Assistant, you’ll work closely with our talented Legal and Policy Team to perform specialized, professional administrative work that supports the efficient administration of IEDA|IFA policies, procedures, and programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the Chief Legal Counsel and IEDA|IFA Attorneys, including gathering data and information for reports, analyzing and researching material, and updating databases and reporting mechanisms.
  • Prepares draft reports, forms, letters, emails, and responses for review. Proofreads, edits, and formats responses and documents for in-house counsel.
  • Coordinates the Open Records process. Receives and organizes requests and assists in gathering requested records.
  • Maintains contract-related databases and ensures contract and other document management procedures are followed.
  • Monitors bills and legislation impacting IEDA|IFA.
  • Assists Legislative Liaison by scheduling time-sensitive meetings during the legislative session.
  • Administers the IFA Board, ensuring all notices and meeting materials are accurately prepared.

The Legal Assistant position is a non-merit, non-contract position that is classified by the State of Iowa as an Administrative Assistant 2. This position is non-exempt per FLSA regulations.
