Job Title: High School Girls Ministry Leader (Full-Time)
Location: Redeemer Presbyterian Church – Encinitas, CA (In-Person)
Reports to: High School Director
Start Date: ASAP
 

What This Role Is All About

You love Jesus. You care deeply about teenage girls. You’re probably the one your friends go to when life is messy or confusing. You want to help the next generation walk with Jesus in a world that makes faith feel complicated. If that sounds like you — we’d love to talk.

We're looking for a relational, grounded, joy-filled woman (college-aged or recently graduated) to join our Student Ministry Team and lead our high school girls (grades 9–12). You'll get to build relationships, lead small groups, plan events, and walk alongside teens as they ask real questions and grow in faith.

This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be in the lives of students, leading, listening, showing up, and pointing them to Christ.

What You'll Do

Be Present.

  • Show up in students’ lives — at coffee shops, soccer games, or just sitting and listening.
  • Create safe spaces where high school girls feel seen, heard, and led toward Jesus.

Disciple & Equip.

  • Lead small groups, Bible studies, and one-on-ones.
  • Walk with students through real-life questions, struggles, and celebrations.
  • Invite, train, and care for volunteer leaders to do the same.

Plan What Matters.

  • Help lead weekly gatherings, retreats, mission trips, and community nights.
  • Bring your creativity to events, worship nights, games, and conversations.
  • Connect with parents and help build bridges between home and church.

Communicate & Collaborate.

  • Join a team that loves Jesus and loves working together.
  • Use tools like email, social media, and texts to keep students and families connected.
  • Keep things organized behind the scenes with planning, registration, and follow-up.

What You Bring

  • A real, growing relationship with Jesus.
  • A heart for teenage girls and a desire to disciple them toward lasting faith.
    Good communication and listening skills (and a sense of humor never hurts).
  • A willingness to lead, learn, and be led.
  • Experience in ministry (volunteer or paid) is helpful, but not required.
    A college student or recent grad — we’re looking for someone close in age and heart to the girls you’ll be leading.
    Bonus: ministry or theology training is great, but not required.
