
Middle School Math Teacher
Position: Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 5–8) Location: Troy Campus | Agape Christian Academy Status: Full-Time | 2025–2026 Academic Year
Objective
Agape Christian Academy is seeking a mission-minded and mathematically gifted educator to serve as the Middle School Math Teacher at our Troy Campus. This role offers the opportunity to guide students through the beauty of mathematical thinking while discipling them in biblical truth. The teacher will provide instruction in key math subjects and help students grow as critical thinkers and Christ-followers.
Reports to: Campus Principal
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
- Teach core math courses for grades 5–8, in alignment with the school’s Christ-centered curriculum
- Integrate a biblical worldview into all mathematical concepts and problem-solving activities
- Design and implement differentiated lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Regularly assess student learning and use data to adjust instruction and support growth
Classroom Culture & Discipleship
- Foster a safe, orderly, and grace-filled classroom environment grounded in biblical values
- Lead students in prayer, Scripture reflection, and spiritual conversations connected to their academic learning
- Cultivate students’ confidence, perseverance, and humility as they engage with challenging material
- Communicate consistently with parents to build strong partnerships for spiritual and academic success
School Life & Community Engagement
- Participate in faculty devotions, collaborative planning, and professional development
- Support grade-level trips, math competitions, service projects, and enrichment activities
- Engage in school-wide events such as Back-to-School Night, Parent Fellowship gatherings, and student exhibitions
- Collaborate with other subject-area teachers to strengthen interdisciplinary connections and shared discipleship goals
Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- A growing and visible relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through word and deed
- Active membership in a doctrinally sound, Bible-believing local church
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
- A clear passion for teaching math and discipling middle school students
- Strong classroom management skills and instructional design abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration with students, colleagues, and families
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience in upper elementary or middle school settings
- Familiarity with biblically integrated math curriculum and other education models
