What You'll Do

The Benefits and Leave internship offer a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in People and Culture operations, specifically in the areas of employee benefits and leave administration. The intern will support day-to-day administrative functions and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely communication and data management. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding benefits and leave policies 
  • Assist with running reports and maintaining tracking spreadsheets 
  • Conduct audits of internal data and update the Benefits and Leave intranet portal as needed 
  • Draft and distribute simple communications related to benefits and leave updates 
  • Provide general administrative support to the Benefits and Leave team 
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining electronic files and documentation 
  • Other duties or projects as assigned  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field 
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and document management 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills; Courteous and empathetic customer service skills
  • Organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion 
  • Basic understanding of office procedures; comfortable working in a professional office environment 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or administrative experience in HR or a corporate environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with HR policies, benefits, or leave programs (FMLA, ADA, etc.)  
  • Experience learning and using HRIS systems (UKG, Workday, SAP, ADP, etc.) or similar platforms
