About the Role:
Are you passionate about mental health awareness and public speaking? Join the NAMI Nebraska team as an Ending the Silence (ETS) Intern Presenter and play an active role in reducing stigma and increasing understanding of mental health. This is a dynamic, hands-on internship that gives you the opportunity to make a real impact in schools, youth organizations, and communities across Nebraska.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the Ending the Silence presentation to students, teachers, and community groups.
Complete 5 hours of outreach to book presentations with schools and organizations.
Participate in 5 hours of training to prepare for presentations and ongoing support.
Present at 8-10 locations across Nebraska, reaching hundreds of young people.
Report on each presentation, gathering valuable feedback from participants.
Ideal Candidate:
Must be 18 years or older.
Strong communication skills and the ability to present confidently in front of groups.
Passionate about mental health and dedicated to making a positive impact.
Organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Flexible and able to work independently while staying connected with the NAMI Nebraska team.
Compensation:
$25 stipend per presentation delivered.
