Role Description
Knollwood is seeking sophomores (rising juniors) to complete its summer 2026 class of investment interns. Participants in the program will work alongside the fund and direct investment teams on the firm’s venture capital portfolio, which spans multiple strategies all over the globe, working with some of the most well-known and active firms and companies in the space. Interns are relied upon as a key part of the team and are expected to make contributions to the group discussions as they shape their investment thesis. Education and experience are a significant component of the internship program. Candidates will gain insight into the broader investment ecosystem through data-driven research projects, hands-on analysis of investments, and participation in a mentor program with more senior members of the firm.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for investment interns will vary based upon rotation, but will include:
· Performing quantitative analysis, including company and manager performance modeling
· Conducting company, manager, and industry research to identify developing trends
· Creating thesis-driven market maps identifying incumbents, differentiators, and emerging leaders
· Participating in due diligence calls with company management teams and General Partners
· Assisting in prospective investment screening and business model evaluation
· Supporting data-driven analytics platforms across strategies
· Communicating investment recommendations through written work, including investment memorandums and one-page summaries
· Developing and maintaining proprietary transaction and market intelligence
· Performing investment monitoring analysis in support of the investment team
· Performing other ad hoc projects that reflect the broader needs of the Firm
Qualifications
· Pursuing Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
· Strong analytics, writing, and communication skills
· Passion for learning and insatiably curious
· A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team context
The role is intended to run for the duration of the summer on a full-time, in-person basis and part-time during the school year with remote/hybrid consideration depending on school location. Sophomores will have the potential to extend the internship for a second summer, from which outperforming individuals in their senior year will be eligible to transition to a full-time analyst after graduation. Please note that this is a paid position.
