Our platform replaces outdated front desk processes with mobile-first guest interfaces, real-time analytics, IoT integrations, and advanced AI decision support tools. By centralizing guest interactions and operational data into a single system, SelfServe empowers hotels to improve service, reduce costs, and personalize the guest journey at scale. We are already live with multiple boutique hotel partners and rapidly expanding our product across the U.S. market.

Position: Android Engineering Intern (Native Kotlin / Jetpack Compose)

Location: Remote (United States preferred) Employment Type: Part-time Internship (Maximum 20 hours per week) Compensation: Unpaid (Educational Internship) Work Authorization: Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Role Overview: We are hiring an Android Engineering Intern with expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to contribute to SelfServe’s Android guest-facing application.

Responsibilities:

Assist in developing the Android app using native Kotlin and Compose.

Work on modular, performant Android systems integrated with RESTful APIs.

Support integration of in-app payments, local persistence, and OTA updates.

Help ensure Android app security and data privacy compliance.

Required Qualifications:

Prior experience or coursework in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

Understanding of Android security, encryption, and REST API integration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Student leadership or project experience.

Interest in hospitality tech or SaaS platforms.

Exposure to app observability tools.

Skills: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Development, Mobile Security, REST APIs, OAuth/Auth0, Secure Storage

GPA: 3.0 minimum recommended

Class Level: Junior, Senior, Graduate Students

Work Authorization: U.S. Work Authorization Required

Majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mobile Development, related fields
