Gaming Statistics Strategist

Job Title: Gaming Statistics Strategist
Location: Greater Philadelphia Area / New Jersey (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

About Us

We’re a stealth-stage startup operating at the frontier of alternative markets, including sports betting, online gambling, and skill-based games. We use data, discipline, and structured processes to identify and capitalize on market inefficiencies. Our team is a blend of strategists, analysts, operators, and engineers dedicated to building scalable systems and test new approaches in dynamic environments.

About the Role

We’re hiring Quantitative Gaming Analysts to support the execution and optimization of operational strategies. You’ll be part of a team running live tests, analyzing outcomes, and improving internal processes. The role requires focus, pattern recognition, and precision, and offers a rare chance to apply strategic thinking in a real-world setting.

This is not a traditional finance or gaming role. No prior experience is required, but intellectual sharpness, reliability, and an eagerness to learn are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute structured gameplay strategies across platforms to test hypotheses and generate data

  • Document outcomes and surface insights from experimental tests

  • Monitor performance and ensure adherence to SOPs

  • Identify edge cases, bugs, and opportunities for optimization

  • Collaborate with operators and strategy leads to improve system design and execution

  • Perform light quantitative analysis and contribute to tactical iteration

Who You Are

  • You think in systems. You enjoy breaking down complex problems, identifying patterns, and finding structured solutions.

  • You’re quantitatively sharp. You’re comfortable with basic probability, expected value, and trade-offs. You don’t need a statistics degree, just a strong intuition for numbers and logical reasoning.

  • You’re precise and process-oriented. You follow instructions exactly, document outcomes consistently, and look for ways to improve workflows.

  • You’re focused and reliable. You’re accountable, show up on time, and consistently deliver what’s expected of you.

  • You’re curious and coachable. You ask smart questions, take feedback seriously, and are motivated to learn and grow quickly.

  • You’re located in NJ or PA or are willing to relocate ASAP. You’re comfortable with local travel (especially within the Greater Philadelphia area); access to a car is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with strategy-based games (poker, board games, esports, etc.)

  • Background (formal or self-taught) in statistics, math, logic puzzles, or game theory

  • Interest in unconventional markets, systems design, or real-time decision-making

Why Join Us

  • Competitive compensation

  • Flexible schedule

  • High-agency work with real-world impact

Small team, fast feedback loops, and opportunities to grow quickly
