Employment Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Position (School Year Schedule)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Aide to join our Irving High School team.
Position Overview:
The Special Education Aide will support students with special needs in academic, behavioral, and social development. This individual will work under the direction of a certified special education teacher to assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs), providing classroom support, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students.
Responsibilities:
Assist the special education teacher in the instructional program and classroom management.
Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
Support students with physical or behavioral challenges as needed.
Help prepare instructional materials and maintain student records.
Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the teacher.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
Supervise students during non-instructional times (e.g., lunch, hallway transitions).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or some college preferred.
Experience working with students with special needs is a plus.
Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a passion for helping students succeed.
Once hired, the individual must obtain an Educational Aide Certification through the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Support will be provided during this process.

All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Candidates must be able to start by August 1, 2025.
Training will be provided before the school year begins.
