Our hope and desire is that this would evolve into a permanent part time or full time position upon satisfactory completion of the program. Bonus income in the form of cash or student loan repayment is available after completing 2 years of employment with us (1 year of training and 1 year of continuing employment). During the training program, you would shadow our providers for a few months, and then run your own schedule of patients at a reduced pace for a few months, before ultimately running a full load of patients (2 patients per hour). You will gain exceptional knowledge in managing contraception (including the nuances of how to choose one method over another), evaluation and management of abnormal paps, menstrual cycles, menopause symptoms, weight loss complaints, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, bone loss prevention and treatment, and sexual complaints. You will also gain expertise in ordering and interpreting micronutrient tests, nutritional guidance, hormone balancing, and weight loss coaching. In addition, you will learn how to guide patients in choosing amongst our aesthetic services (laser hair removal, photo-facials, body contouring, wrinkle reduction) and how to perform those procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties
In the beginning, you will shadow our providers. During that time, you will assist in patient encounter documentation, entering orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, and interpret the results of these tests. This workflow will allow you to master the EHR as well as develop the skills for ordering the correct labs/imaging and medications and interpreting the results and the patient responses to treatments. After that, you will start seeing patients on your own, on a reduced schedule and of reduced complexity. During that time, you will present/discuss your patients with the other providers as well as your plans for the patients. Notes are expected to be completed within 2 days of the patient encounter. As this is a training program, independent studying is also expected, in the form of reading board review articles, webinars, completing our online courses, consulting textbooks, etc. The program will provide a guide/list of specific content for review. The ultimate goal is to see patients on a full schedule (2 patients per hour) independently, manage labs/prescriptions and interpret imaging studies independently. Candidates who complete the program satisfactorily and sign on for a long-term position are eligible for additional training on performing gyn procedures such as colposcopy, vulvar biopsy, IUD insertions etc.
