Primary Wave is seeking an experienced cinematography intern to film and edit dynamic content for rising artist Leo Kalyan. This role is ideal for a driven, visually-minded creator who’s passionate about music, culture, and storytelling through video.

About the Artist

Leo Kalyan is a British-Asian singer, songwriter, producer, and content creator known for his genre-blending sound that fuses South Asian music with Pop, R&B, and Afrobeats. With an already established digital presence and a unique visual identity, Leo’s work is poetic, fashion-forward, and culturally rich.

Internship Responsibilities

• Shoot social media content, behind-the-scenes footage, and music video material
• Handle all aspects of filming, lighting, and basic on-set direction
• Edit content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube
• Collaborate closely with Leo and the Primary Wave team to maintain visual consistency
• Contribute creative ideas to shape the artist’s visual storytelling

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with cinematography, lighting, and video editing
• Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut)
• Must be based in Los Angeles and able to drive to shoots
• Strong organizational skills and attention to visual detail
• A passion for music, identity, and creative storytelling
