Human Resources Coordinator

 Ordnance Holdings, Inc. (OHI) is seeking an efficient Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to undertake various HR and office administrative duties.  You will facilitate daily HR functions, including maintaining employee records and supporting the interview process. Your role involves performing tasks that focus on improving our company’s talent pipeline and refining our sourcing tactics. To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable speaking on the phone, have excellent computer skills, and be open to learning about a new industry.

Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor the online timekeeping system.

Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests for assistance.

Redirect HR-related calls or distribute correspondence to the designated team member.

Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates, etc.) on paper and in the database, ensuring all employment requirements.

Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, I-9 verification, E-Verify, and exit interviews.

Support compliance efforts related to labor laws, EEO, FMLA, and other federal/state regulations.
Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, etc.)

Prepare new hire paperwork.

Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts, etc.

Assist supervisors in performance management procedures.

Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, and other team-related activities, and maintain the team’s agenda.

Coordinate training sessions and seminars.

Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires.

Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.

Assist in ad-hoc HR projects.

Support other functions as assigned.

 

Skills

Proven experience in an administrative position

Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)

Experience working with Google Drive

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle data with confidentiality

Good organizational and time management skills
