HRMS Consultant, Human Resource Consultant 1 (HRC1)

Work Hours and Partial Telework flexibility may be available and considered
Salary: $4,093.00 - $5,501.00 Monthly

Responsibilities:

  • Processing personnel transactions, determining periodic increment dates, and researching employee and position records as necessary. Uses the state Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to process transactions.
  • Initiating the creation of appointment letters, ensuring that the appointment is appropriate for the selected position.
  • Explaining HR rules, agreements, policies, procedures, and programs to managers, supervisors, division contacts, region contacts, and employees.
  • Responding to inquiries and information requests from employees, DNR Staff, and members of the public.
  • Auditing service dates (e.g., anniversary date, seniority date) for accuracy and making any needed changes.

Required Qualifications: 
 

  • Experience in a human resource or related setting.
  • Experience entering and/or retrieving data from a human resource information recordkeeping system.
  • Experience using basic arithmetic to perform simple calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication).
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
