
Maintenance Intern
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Maintenance Intern to support our maintenance department in organizing, tracking, and auditing parts inventory. This hands-on internship is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in facilities maintenance, inventory management, and computerized maintenance systems.
Responsibilities
- Organize maintenance parts, tools, and materials for efficiency and accessibility.
- Assist with setting and maintaining min/max inventory levels on critical parts.
- Learn and utilize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to help track work orders and parts usage.
- Perform regular audits on current inventory and help reconcile discrepancies.
- Assign inventory items to appropriate storage locations and update records accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of parts, tools, and materials used in maintenance operations.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications to document and report on inventory and maintenance-related data.
- Support the maintenance team with various tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Basic knowledge of inventory control or maintenance operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes (e.g., CMMS software).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
