Alternative General Education Development Instructor

TITLE:   Alternative General Education Development-(G.E.D.) Instructor Part-time 

LOCATION:   Initial assignment at Sackett Technical Center, Glenfield, New York                                                                                                                          

DUTIES:    Assess, prescribe and deliver General Education Development (G.E.D.) instruction to eligible      students and prepare them for successful completion of high school equivalency certificate.    Enter data related to GED participation.

Reports to the Assistant Director for Career & Technical and Adult Education programs.  18 hours/week, possibly up to 30 hours/week, based on program need.    Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 3 days per week.                

QUALIFICATIONS:  Candidates must hold a current New York State Teaching certificate or Job Skills Training Instructor - Adult Education Certificate. 

SALARY:      $22.00-$27.00/hour, Salary commensurate with experience, and certification
