Competitive Intelligence Coordinator

Top Tier Reps is representing a leading Am Law 100 firm in its search for a Competitive Intelligence Coordinator to join the Business Development team in New York. This hybrid role plays a key part in supporting global growth initiatives by delivering data-driven insights to attorneys and firm leadership.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on companies, industries, individuals, and competitors
• Summarize findings into reports and partner-ready briefings
• Track industry trends and monitor business development opportunities
• Compile profiles on potential clients and key decision-makers
• Use tools like Lexis, Capital IQ, Lex Machina, MergerMarket, and others for data gathering
• Collaborate with attorneys, business development, marketing, and research teams

Core Competencies:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic visualization)
• Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; deadline-driven
• Team-oriented with a client-service mindset
• Curious, proactive, and able to distill complex data into strategic insights

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in business, law, or research-related fields)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in research or business development
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is required

Salary & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $63,000 – $79,000 (based on experience)
• Bonus Eligible: Yes (annual performance-based bonus)
