Housing: We do offer a housing stipend for any student placed on a jobsite or in a location where they don’t live or go to school. That stipend varies based on the location.

CONSTRUCTION CO-OP/Internship:

Brasfield & Gorrie is recruiting students interested in cooperative education opportunities with a general contractor. Students working multiple terms will gain exposure to preconstruction, project management and field operations during their semesters with Brasfield & Gorrie. After gaining this exposure, one goal of the program is for the students to further identify their long-term interests within the construction industry. Our goal at Brasfield & Gorrie is not only to involve students and make them knowledgeable about the day-to-day activities of a true general contractor, but to also assist in the training and education of becoming future estimators, project managers, and superintendents with our company.

Office Locations: Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, Texas; projects across the country

Responsibilities and duties include the following:

• Gain an understanding of the construction process

• Participate in quantity take off / quantity estimating

• Work with the submittal process: maintaining appropriate logs, reviewing submittals, and approving shop drawings and submittals

• Prepare transmittals for distribution of project documentation

• Assist in jobsite setup/permits/closeout

Desired qualifications include the following:

• Required GPA: 3.0 - Must be enrolled in school

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident 

• Excellent communication skills

• Willingness to work hard and handle responsibility

• Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office programs
