The Malden Public Schools (MPS) is hiring multiple Special Education Teachers to serve across our five K–8 schools for the 2025–26 school year. Openings include inclusion, PACE (substantially separate), and student support positions.
Located just outside Boston and accessible via the MBTA Orange Line, Malden is one of the most diverse school districts in Massachusetts. What You’ll Do
As a Special Education Teacher at MPS, you will:
- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned to students’ IEP goals and the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
- Use assessment strategies on an ongoing basis to inform instruction and daily planning
- Collect and document meaningful data to monitor student progress and inform decision-making
- Share relevant progress and insights with team members and families to maximize each student’s learning opportunities
- Integrate clinical support services and collaborate effectively with related service providers
- Build a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Use a participative classroom management model that involves all stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration across general and special education settings
Who You Are
- Licensed in Massachusetts as a Teacher of Students with Moderate and/or Severe Disabilities
- Holds SEI Teacher Endorsement (required)
- Brings deep knowledge of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and how to apply them in instruction
- Demonstrates skill in classroom assessment and data-informed instruction
- Believes in the potential of all students and is committed to equity, inclusion, and continuous learning
- Values collaboration and shared leadership in supporting student success
