About the Role

We are seeking a VB .NET Programmer with Microsoft SQL Server skills to join our development team. In this role, you will help develop and maintain a Manufacturing application using VB .NET and Microsoft SQL Server, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using VB .NET and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with team members to implement new features and enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
• Ensure application security, stability, and scalability.
• Help create and maintain technical documentation and end user guides.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1+ years of experience with VB .NET programming
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (query optimization, stored procedures, database design).
• Knowledge of ADO.NET and/or Entity Framework is a plus.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST) and API development.
• Familiarity with source control systems (Git, TFS, SVN).
• Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, Crystal Reports).
