VAPA Program Facilitator-
Program:
- Start Date: 7/29/25
- End Date: 5/28/26
Schedule:
- Monday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Tuesday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Thursday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: No Work
THE ROLE
- Lead groups of students through structured games based on the Elevo curriculum.
- Engage students in visual/performing arts themes, dance, and music, sports, games, and other activities.
- Supporting kids’ behavioral management needs.
- Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, teachers, and fellow coaches.
- Leading outdoor lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
- Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids’ self-esteem and emotional wellness.
ABOUT YOU
- Have been successful working with elementary and/or middle school kids.
- Confidently manage groups of up to 20 students with minimal assistance.
- Can improvise, adapt, and take initiative when needed.
- Are approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids.
- Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
- Connect with students and foster positive learning experiences.
- Pay close attention to student needs and adjust activities accordingly.

- Ensure activities run smoothly and efficiently within allocated timeframes
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in dance, media arts, music, theatre, and the visual arts.
- 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences strongly preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school.
