St. Mary's Health System, a member of Covenant Health, is hiring a full-time Clinician to work in our Adult Chemical Dependency unit (D4). In this role, the candidate will manage a caseload of individuals with psychiatric and/or chemical dependency diagnoses and their families as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

The Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Services treat patients ages 18 and older with psychiatric or chemical dependency problems. The most frequent chemical dependency diagnoses are dependency on alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and/or other drugs. Patients with psychiatric disorders will have diagnoses such as depression, psychosis, and bipolar disorder. The Adult Day Treatment operates a morning and afternoon program.

 

Qualifications:

  • A Masters degree in Social Work required
  • Must hold valid State of Maine LCSW/LSW certification
  • Must be able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong problem solving, organization, and time-management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.

  • Perform admissions interviews and evaluations when scheduled and as needed
  • Manages caseloads of assigned (up to 9) patients
  • Actively participate in overall unit program
  • Facilitates individual, group, and family meetings
