Job Description 

Our Danfoss facility in Van Wert, OH is actively seeking talent to join its operations to support in our Fittings, Flex Master, Custom Tubes and Metal Finishings.  

Our innovative engineering dates back to 1933. Danfoss is family-owned, employing more than 39.000 people, serving customers in more than 100 countries through a global footprint of 95 factories. 

The Primary Products that we make here at the Van Wert Facility are your Hose Assemblies, Terminal End Fittings, Adapters, Couplings, Custom Tubes & Tube Assemblies, and Rapid Prototypes.  

The areas we actively hiring Machine Operators are in: 

  • Fittings
  • Flex Master 
  • Custom Tubes  
  • Metal Finishing 

1st Shift - 6:45am - 2:45pm (Monday - Friday) 

3rd shift - 10:45pm - 6:45am  (Sunday - Thursday) or 8:00pm - 6:00am ( Monday - Friday)

4th shift - 5:00am - 5:00pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) 

The salary ranges for these positions are $17.50 - $20.24 /hour, based on experience level.  

Shift Premium offered for 2nd and 3rd shifts. 

Background & Skills 

  • Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.  Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety. 
  • Must be able to operate multiple machines. 
  • Follows all standard work, control plans, all processes, and quality guidelines 
  • Perform all Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities as required. 
  • Verify that the machine is running at the proper cycle time. 
  • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications using a variety of gauges making sure parts are within specified tolerances. 
  • Setting up, operating and dismantling of unit assembly and subassembly workstations. 
  • Responds with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal and external customers.  Promotes quality and continuous improvement philosophy. 
  • Evaluates situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive effect on work performance. 
  • Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete assignments/tasks on time, with quality, and has the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance.  Applies creative approaches and ideas to solve problems maximizing effective use of appropriate resources. 
  • Demonstrates flexibility in approach and ideas, responds positively and supports changes in procedures, processes, technology, responsibility, and assignments. 
  • Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees, participating effectively as a team member or as a team leader.  Encourages and assists in self-improvement. 
  • May Fit and assembles parts into complete assembly. 
  • Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly. 
  • Confers with other classifications in care and use of machines, equipment, and techniques required. 
  • Able to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular basis 
  • Speak English fluently written and verbally
