Senior Human Resources Consultant, Human Resources Consultant 4 (HRC4)

Salary: $6,077.00 - $8,170.00 Monthly

Duties

Provide consultation on a variety of complex human resources matters, such as: 
 

  • Employee Performance Management consultation and training.
  • Organizational planning and compensation.
  • Employee and Labor Relations, to include collective bargaining agreement interpretation.
  • Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within assigned divisions and regions.
  • Supporting employees and managers with protected leave of absences and reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities include: 
 

  • Provide consultation with clients ranging from employees to executive-level managers to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Conduct union grievance hearings and coordinate written responses. Respond to union requests for information.
  • Analyze and create reports, letters, and memos.
  • Draft union notices.
  • Provide annual Employee Performance Management training to DNR management.
  • May participate in the Human Resources Division's strategic initiative project teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business, or other closely related field from an accredited institution;
    OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 3 years of experience in broad-based professional human resource consultation.
  • Experience with interpreting and applying laws, rules, regulations, CBA terms, policies, and procedures with human resources theory.
  • Experience with independently providing consultation on complex tactical and strategic issues to clients in each related HR area while:
    • Building partnerships with client managers and supervisors;
    • Aligning human resources with organizational mission, goals, and deliverables; and
    • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Professional aptitude with Microsoft products.
