Accounts Payable Specialist/Junior Staff Accountant

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
- Coding and processing invoices, expense reports, check requests, etc., conforming to standard procedures and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting software (Yardi)
- Schedule payments and obtain authorized signatures and approvals
- Maintain contact with vendors and their corporate representatives to reconcile statements, conduct research, and resolve discrepancies
- Process credit cards with appropriate coding
- Prepare and process check runs and wire transfers
- Process pay apps for development projects and assist with the preparation of construction draws
- Manage accounts payable files and records
JUNIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT:
- Manage and maintain general ledgers, including preparing and posting cash receipts, cash disbursements, wire transfers, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Preparation of Financial Statements, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and supporting schedules on a timely basis - monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually as required
- Other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Outlook
- Experience with Yardi or similar accounting software.
- Accounting knowledge

Education: 3 years or more of Accounting or Finance
Experience: 2+ years of related work experience (preferably in real estate)
