Wisconsin Farmers Union is a member-driven organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for farmers, rural communities, and all people. The Wisconsin Farmers Union membership is made up of people from all walks of agriculture and life. From conventional to organic, rural to urban, our members find community in an organization that empowers them to have a voice in the issues that affect them. Wisconsin Farmers Union isn't just for farmers. We also welcome rural residents and consumers who want to participate in our programs and advocate for family farming.
Since the 1930s, Wisconsin Farmers Union camps have delivered cooperative philosophy, leadership development, community awareness and social justice education to rural and urban kids. Overnight sessions (4 or 5 days) at WFU Kamp Kenwood on Lake Wissota near Chippewa Falls include workshops, hikes, campfires, sports, the arts and swimming, as well as a co-op store created and run by the campers for their own benefit. With support from the CHS Foundation, WFU Camps are coordinated by the WFU Foundation, whose projects and programs for all ages foster family farming, rural life and public education on the important role of cooperatives and agriculture in society.
