Westmont Conference Services Staff

What I liked
I was able to assist my school by working on various projects throughout campus, that contributed to the readiness of the college in being able to reopen for the Fall 2020 semester, and most importantly make the school accessible with the COVID-19 measures we installed.
What I wish was different
Franky, nothing. You're thrust into a specific scenario and given a set of tools. How you manage to overcome these present challenges and other obstacles defines your resilience.
Advice
Learn to adapt to the changes presented in our in-going environment and in your future professional career.

Conferences Services Office Staff Representative
May - August 2018 • Santa Barbara, CA
What I liked
I liked being able to stay in Santa Barbara over the summer with housing and meals covered in addition to my hourly pay. It was fun to get to know my team members (other Westmont students) and some conference guests as well.
What I wish was different
The work was monotonous, so I wish there was somehow more variability built in to my tasks.
Advice
Be ready for a long summer. However, if you are a cheap student at Westmont and don't want to go back to your non-beach hometown, this may be your chance.
