Orthopedic Surgery Medical Scribe

December 2022 - April 2023 St. Louis, MO
“I really enjoyed the opportunity to work closely with physicians in clinic, both in adult physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR), and pediatric sports orthopedic surgery. As someone planning on matriculating to medical school, I found daily exposure in clinic to these specialties valuable in showing me unique aspects of each that I liked and disliked. This gave an idea of what I want to shift my focus on more as I progress in my career. Furthermore, with this job you are not just working with the attending. Residents/fellows would frequently rotate in and I liked the opportunity to work with the entire team, comprised of physicians, medical assistants, athletic trainers, etc. I really enjoyed the chance to see the flow of the whole team, and I learned a good amount from everyone. Finally, the work environment was always great, and I always felt comfortable, respected and valued. ”
